The birth of a child is to me one of the most blessed events. Tiny fingers and toes, the smell of baby lotion, holding your newborn for the first time and thinking to yourself you have my eyes but your daddy's nose. Wrinkled skin, dimples. You forget all about the morning sickness, the 30lb weight gain and how in the world will you ever get your figure back. It is all past tense when this AMAZING baby enters the world and forever changes your life. Times are changing. As we celebrate engagements, weddings, graduations,we celebrate the pregnancy. Maternity portraits gaining in their popularity. Remembering the pregnancy. I have seen so many different types of maternity portraits. Artistic, beautiful empowering portraits. Portraits of love, hope, anticipation all the way to the celebration of life. Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing one of my wedding couples from 2008. Jessica and Rick. We were blessed to be apart of their joyous wedding day and blessed to be apart of this special chapter in their lives.

I can't wait to see this baby boy when the big day comes. He will be welcomed into this world with open arms and the unconditional love of two wonderful parents. Stay tuned.
